Our Cinquain Poems

This week for our Big Write Session, we have been learning about Cinquain Poems. We had to write about a Storm and a Sunset. Thanks you to our parents for assisting us with our Talk Homework this week.

We discussed the different verbs, adjectives and similes we could use in our poems. After that we did a plan on the board to help us with our writing. Below are some examples from our class.

Storm
Beastly, powerful
Throwing, pouring, stretching
Lightning as bright as fireworks
Destroyer

- By Sacha

Storm,
Drenched, pitch-black
Pouring, thundering, striking
Thunder beating like millions of hearts
Spinning top

- Jarni

Storm,
Dreadful, criminal
Creeping, crashing, pouring
Thunder beating like a thousand drums
Killer

- By Maunil

Storm,
Petrifying, blood curdling
Creeping, swooshing, sweeping
As dangerous as Jack Ripper
Cyclone

- By McKenna

Storm,
Terrifying, damp
Spinning, growling, splashing
Lightning as bright as the day light
Dangerous

- By Ella

Storm,
Horrifying, paralyzing
Stretching, creeping, growling
Thunder as loud as volcanoes erupting
Hurricane

- By Tatiana
