It is very hard to believe that we are now half way through Year 3!
This term we will continue to focus on Literacy and Numeracy, but we will also be focusing heavily on looking at the history of Wattle Grove Primary School (to celebrate the centenary) to tie in with Geography and History.
This term there are many exciting things happening:
-Sports carnival
-Lap - a - thon (get your money in so we can raise money to buy new laptops!)
-Student fete and dress up day
Important reminders:
-Library books must come back to school every even week Wednesday starting from next week.
Homework reminders:
-Students must be completing at least 2 Lexile quizzes per week using the books they get out from the library. They can change their books before and after school Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as well as lunch times on these days. Homereading every night is absolutely crucial. Please write the number of pages read in the students home reader file so I can clearly see the students are reading each night.
-Timestables must be done a couple of times per week.
-Next week students will start bringing home a review sheet booklet which they will have 2 nights to complete one sheet.
-Spelling homework must be done every night using a variety of activities (which are glued into their spelling homework book)
Please remember to complete all homework tasks given and next week a letter will go home about a report project students will be working on in class as well as at home. Stay tuned!
