Shhhh! Silent Letters!

This week our class did a review on silent letters. Silent letters are very tricky because you can't hear them.

Some silent letters we have learnt are:

- silent k which has a n after it - knowledge
- silent w which is usually with an r - wriggle
- silent b which is attached to a m - thumb
- silent n which is usually with a m - column
- silent u which is attached with a g - guest

We created posters to remind us of all the words we learnt. Now that they are up in class room we have something to look at when we get stuck with our spelling.

Did you know all of these words had silent letters? Tricky stuff!
